But what if your name is “Herb?” Then do you pronounce the “H?”
Yes you pronounce the “h,” unless you want to be called Erb.
My friend’s father’s name is Herb. I have no problem calling him Uncle Herb. But outside of that, I often have to stop and think, “you cook with herbs (erbs), but it’s uncle Herb.”
Yeah. Like the old 70′s band Peaches and Erbs. (heh.)
