more husky boy than husky baby

Every year, Mike and I take Nathan to the University of Washington’s Husky Stadium for Husky Picture Day. This is the third year we have taken Nathan and the fourth or fifth year we’ve gone there ourselves. I like to think of this as a fine collegiate tradition that will teach Nathan to revere his parent’s alma mater and to fear even applying to any other Pac-10 school (especially ones that rhyme with “Mashington State University”) or HE WILL BE CUT OUT OF THE WILL.

That might not smite him with the kind of terror we had hoped, seeing as all the treasures I have to leave him as of today is the complete DVD set of Sex and the City, all four Twilight Saga books and the change under the driver’s seat of my car, which may or may not add up to four dollars.

Yeah they're cute, but can they lactate?

Still nonplussed by the cheerleaders.

clearly excited, once again

But clearly excited about posing with his mother.

nathan taking the field

Nathan’s favorite part: the field. You can also see how his hair has transformed from Mike Brady to Carol Brady.

  2. OMG, look how pretty you are!

And I hadn’t realized how cute “cheerleaders holding a baby” would be.

  3. you’re so pretty!! πŸ™‚

that first picture of you holding him is so awesome. i want to zerbert that belly something fierce. hee.

  4. Nathan’s belly is squish-a-licious! My kids all have that belly, and I can’t help but gobble it up. He’s precious!

I hope you have a living will and a trust for all those treasures. It would be a shame for Nathan to have all that goodness go into probate.

You guys are so hard core! I went to that school and I get irked everytime I get mail from them. πŸ™‚
Of course, if I opened it, I might know about the cool thing like that one you just mentioned.

I know what you mean about that OTHER school. Growing up in Spokane (there, I admitted it), it was a looming presence over my life. even though I got a small scholarship from there (how, as I did not even remotely apply to anything there), I still told them to shove it and ran as far away from eastern washington as I could get at that time. πŸ™‚

I love that last shot! Carol Brady, watch out! There’s a new sheriff in town. πŸ˜‰
