This weekend, Mike and I took Nathan to our alma mater for the annual Husky Photo Day. Every year, the University of Washington hosts a day for families and friends to meet and mingle with the players and coaches. This is one of my favorite family traditions, one that we started before Nathan was born and will continue next year when we’ll have TWO KIDS!
Nathan was so excited to meet Kalani Aldrich.
He was also thrilled to hang out with the cheerleaders.
The donut gave him some pause, but he still ate it. That’s going to be the title to my autobiography: “It gave me some pause, but I still ate it.” It’s a story of hope.
How was your weekend?
I laughed out loud. You definitely need to write a book and that definitely needs to be the title.
Oh, I’m still chuckling. That is so good.
And of course he loved the cheerleaders.
Yeah…your kid looked real excited to meet that football player. Like as excited as small kids get when having to sit on the mall Santa’s lap…
It’s the classic story of a boy, a donut, and purple / gold sprinkles. It’s a triumph of the spirit, a victory for the heart and gullet.
He needed to eat that donut before it stole his car. Show it who’s boss.

Sometimes I am sad to have married a Cougar. That looks like lots of fun.
i’m laughing because i was thinking that this was going to have something to do with pregnancy weight or something, based on the title. i was all prepared to leave you a comment about how it’s ok! you’re growing a baby! and you’re still hot! and then, shut my mouth, because it’s about sports. i suck at sports.
