quick friday round-up

I’m leaving for Atlanta on Sunday. Above: the weather in Seattle. Below: the brutal weather in Atlanta. I do not know how to handle this kind of change nor will my bangs. They do not handle sweat well and I sweat well. Why can I just glisten? Instead of looking like I’ve been in active labor for seven hours? Any ideas on what to wear? I only have to deal with this kind of heat ONE DAY A YEAR. That’s how long a Seattle summer lasts.

I have a review of a new app called Cube Dog, a 3-D virtual toy that fills in the spaces of the heart where a real dog would be, a dog we would have if we had room, money, and a cat that didn’t mean mug us.

I also have a giveaway for a $100 Gift Card from Babies R Us that ends next week. Even if you don’t have babies, you can still enter. I know a lot of man/lady babies who would benefit from a teething ring.

ME AT NINE, PERFORMING TO MADONNA IN SUMMER ’91! from Robert Jeffrey on Vimeo.

And! Isn’t this the most amazing video ever? I know I was never that talented as a kid to perform Madonna’s Vogue and even now as an adult, I only have one form of dance floor movement: The Skanky Butt Shuffle which I learned from MTV’s THE GRIND.

  1. I am going to watch this video on repeat until I’ve got these moves down. That is amazing.

And as far as southern summer heat – good luck. Seriously. I’ve lived in St Louis for six years now and I still feel like I’m being smacked in the face every time I walk outside in the summer.
