A few weeks ago, we went to the West Seattle Summer Fest, one of my favorite summer events. After a few rides and strolling through the entire area, we bought the kids some ice cream cones and walked back to the car.
As we walked through the crowds, pushing TJ in the stroller, I noticed people looking at him and smiling as you do when you see a cute kid unhinging his jaw so he can fit an entire dessert inside. Then the looks became more amused, puzzled even and I caught a little girl gasping and then giggling at her mother. I stopped the stroller to figure out what was the issue and I saw this:
His entire neck and forehead was covered in an ice cream slick and I was obliviously parading him around like, “Look at my cute baby! LOOK PEOPLE!”
Though I have to say, I’ve never seen a kid happier to have fully missed his mouth.
