I chose March as the month to leave for Saipan because I would have the most vacation time then and TJ will still be young enough that I don’t have to pay full fare. And I will still be of the naive idea that it’ll be okay to ferry a squirmy, needy child across the Pacific on my lap.
That hasn’t tempered my excitement at all, especially after seeing these gorgeous Saipan sunset photos on my Auntie Gloria’s facebook page. I asked her if I could share them here because hello, gorgeous.
Seven months from today I’ll be boarding that plane that will take me back. Seven months of waiting through Seattle rain, wind and more rain until I get to see this, a sight that was so normal growing up. This was normal to me.
