Last year I had the best time at a sample tasting of Thanksgiving foods at Whole Foods. There were tons of delicious offerings from organic specialities and healthy versions of all my favorite holiday foods to the very good, decadent meats and sides that I enjoyed without any guilt. Because if you eat turkey and gravy to blog about it, the calories don’t count. Especially if you wear your maternity pants afterward so you can’t feel how much your stomach has expanded. Pro tip!
Tomorrow, Thursday, November 7 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., visit Whole Foods Market store locations throughout the greater Seattle area for annual “Taste of Thanksgiving” and enjoy a spread of the holiday offerings.
I’m not able to attend but I hope you get to shop and sample all the goodies that will complete your Thanksgiving feast. Am I jealous? Spoiler alert: YES.
A $5 donation will provide shoppers with a full plate and 100 percent of the proceeds will go to support FareStart, a culinary job training and placement program for homeless and disadvantaged individuals.
And if you see something you like or you can’t make it to the tasting, you can always order online.
